Recovery is built one decision, one day, and one month at a time—but the people doing that work often receive very little public recognition. Milestones makes progress visible, gives participants a reason to reflect on how far they have come, and invites the public to become active supporters of recovery rather than distant observers.
01How it works
Participants complete a monthly check-in and scheduled testing, then create a short video about that month’s progress: what changed, what challenged them, what they learned, and what they are working toward next. With permission, CMF shares the story so the public can encourage them and pledge financial support toward the next milestone.
02What to expect
When a participant reaches and verifies the next milestone, the pledged support celebrates that achievement and helps fuel the next chapter. If the milestone is not reached, the money does not disappear—it is redirected to the Recovery Community Food Bank, where it provides nutritious food to others in the recovery community. Either way, every contribution advances recovery.
